Afternoon recital and Choral Evensong A short free Sunday afternoon recital with a retiring collection in aid of the All Saints Preservation Trust at 4.00pm, followed by Choral Evensong at 6.00pm. Recital music will included pieces by William Byrd, Henry Purcell, Eric Whitacre and a selection of Shakespeare songs by Matthew Harris. (Further details) |

Joint concert After a number of years, the Singers returned to Hockliffe Street Baptist Church for a concert of choral music. This was a repeat of the joint concert with the Circle Singers of Royal Leamington Spa given in Coventry on 9th April. Music included Fauré’s popular Requiem. (Further details) |

Joint concert A joint concert with the Circle Singers of Royal Leamington Spa. A highly successful joint concert, repeated in Leighton Buzzard on Saturday 7th May, with music that included Fauré’s popular Requiem and Gionanni Gabrieli’s lively 8-part anthem ‘Jubilate Deo’. |

‘Concert & cakes’ – Choral music of the Italian Renaissance A short recital including Pergolesi’s Magnificat and Monteverdi’s Beatus Vir, both accompanied by strings and continuo. The recital was followed by tea and, for those who wished to stay, the Choir sang choral evensong at 6.00pm. Proceeds from the recital were in aid of the Church’s Community Hall restoration project. Sing Allelujah! The Singers&rsquo popular end-of-year concert in their ‘home’ church. The Singers mark the anniversaries of Handel, Haydn, Mendelssohn and Purcell. The concert includes Zadok the priest and the ‘Hallelujah’ chorus by Handel, Haydn’s Little organ mass, Mendelssohn’s Hear my prayer (includes ‘O for the wings of a dove’) and Purcell’s ‘Rejoice in the Lord alway’ (the Bell anthem).
