In 2011 the Singers joined with the Circle Singers of Leamington Spa to present two concerts that included Fauré’s Requiem. These concerts – one in Coventry and the other 4 weeks later in Leighton Buzzard – were so successful that the choirs have decided to repeat the experience. This time the main items in the concerts will be Vaughan Williams’ sublime Mass in G minor for unaccompanied double choir and soloists, and the ever-popular Gloria by Vivaldi. Completing the programme will be some well-known choral motets by Bruckner and Stanford.

The first concert was held in Stratford Upon Avon and 2 weeks later on the 16th july the second will be in the Linsdale Singers’ ‘home’ church of St Barnabas in Linslade. As in 2011, for this second concert the Vivaldi Gloria will be accompanied by a small orchestra.

These concerts, performed by two choirs who are highly regarded in their respective local regions, should provide a glorious evening of some great choral classics – certainly the first concert on the 2nd July was very well received and much enjoyed by both the appreciative audience and the singers.

Entrance to either concert is £10 with accompanied children getting in free. Tickets are available at the door on the night of each concert, or can be obtained in advance either on line (links below) or by telephoning 01926 612788 (2nd July, Stratford) or 01525 376572 (16th July, Linslade).
